Re-Purposing
​

As shown in my resume on the following tab, Fashion has always been a passion of mine and in High School I spent an immense amount of time learning about the Slow Fashion Movement for a research paper. However, slow fashion is a growing trend that I have watched evolve since that paper was written. So for my Re-Purposing project, I decided to educate U of M students on this upcoming and popular movement. I did this by creating an issue of SHIFT, which is SHEI Magazine's (the fashion and culture publication on campus that I am a part of) digital site. Re-Mediation

After creating a digital magazine issue educating students on the Slow Fashion Movement, I now wanted to convince them that this was something "cool" that they should want be a part of. When thinking about the best way to do this, I tried to brainstorm what outet college students spend the majority of their time on. Instagram is the first thing that came to mind— I created a social media campaign for Slow Fashion via Instagram. To be persuaded on why you should join this up and coming movement...
